Martin Stabe posts another thoughful piece on the strengths and weaknesses of bloggers and journalists, rightly decrying the lack of coverage of international issues. His comments on the self interest and ethics of bloggers and journalists are also worth reading.
It is for others to judge how accurate or ethical Spy Blog is, but we do try.
Unfortunately, Spy Blog does not have the resources to comment on much that is going on abroad, despite the many readers from overseas, there is just so much happening here in the UK.
Since we have been reluctantly drawn into commenting on topics such as the implications of court cases involving obscure Islamic terrorist suspects, whoses causes we do not really sympathise with, but which could set precedents for all the rest of us, we might as well make room for some more "lost causes" on this blog.
One possible experiment might be for us to try to keep an eye on developments in one obscure corner of the world that never gets much reporting in the UK media.
Any suggestions ?
