If I held my breath for these to be released, I would die waiting. So I'm not holding my breath.
What a despot of a foreign country the UK has become and in my life-time.
I wasn't sleeping through it, though I wish I could, then I'd awake and it would have just been a bad nightmare and not really true.

Hi
Does this fine blog have anything to say about biobank?
www.ukbiobank.ac.uk
500,000 UK people aged between 40 and 69 will have DNA taken if they take part/ have already taken part.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/dna-database-pledges-to-defend-confidentiality-537017.html
"There is no specific legislation in the UK for protecting personal genetic information from insurance companies and employers, and police have special exemption from data protection laws to access medical records in "exceptional circumstances". Dr Newton, the chief executive of UK Biobank, said: "The police would have access to our data only if they had a court order. If a High Court judge ruled it was in the public interest for the police to have access to our data they could have access."
In my view the UK state police will just get such a court order and thus force biobank to let them have access to all their records. If not this year then at at some point soon in the future.
Why trust the UK state and the UK state police ? - when clearly, going on repeated and continuous examples they do not trust us.
@ Rory - we have not changed our opinion of the dubious UK Biobank project for the better, since this Spy Blog article of a couple of years ago:
UK Biobank - where are the privacy and security safeguards ?
The Biobank databases would be one of the prime targets for the new Data Protection Act destroying Data Sharing powers which the Government is planning to impose via the controversial Coroners and Justice Bill 2009 section 152
See Coroners and Justice Bill - Information Sharing Orders and other controversies, in addition to the already nonexistant protections from snooping for "national security" or "for the prevention, detection or prosecution of crime" (no matter how petty or minor) purposes.
all this business about the reviews being public is great, but where are the actual reviews???
I've been looking around the net for a while and i can't find them...
@ Lefty - where have you been looking ?
