Undecided what to blog about - which would you prefer ?
- The massive NSA unauthorised and probably illegal domestic communications data traffic scandal revealed by USA Today, and its implications for the UK and the European Union Data retention plans, and its obvious failure to catch any real Al Queda terrorists ?
- The replacement for Andy Burnham as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Immigration, Citizenship and Nationality at the Home Office, Joan Ryan, struggling with the technicalties of ID Cards, Machine Readable Travel Documents, contactless chips and Basic Authentication Control ? What is to prevent these new Biometric Passports from being used to trigger terrorist bombs aimed at specific individuals or nationalities?
- The Independent on Sunday's story about the Trident investigation at the Department for Work and Pensions and HM Revenue & Customs, showing a much greater "identity theft" problem than has so far emerged during the Tax Credits scandal, involving criminal gangs and authorised civil service insiders, and the obvious implications for the National Identity Register ?
Has anyone else in the UK blogged about these topics ?
