John Prescott, the Deputy Prime Minister who had to face the diplomatic snubs and resentment caused by Tony Blair's failure to attend the VE Day ceremonies in Moscow last week, was again representing the United Kingdom Government at the important 46 nation Council of Europe Summit in Warsaw.
As predicted earlier,(thanks to Blairwatch for bringing this to our attention) the United Kingdom Government failed to sign the "Council of Europe Convention on action against trafficking in human beings"
It is a mystery the NuLabour government did not also sign the "Council of Europe Convention on laundering, search, seizure and confiscation of the proceeds from crime and on the financing of terrorism". We already have the draconian powers of the Asset Recovery Agency which can confiscate money and assets from you, even if you have not been convicted of any crime. Did the money launderers in the City of London succeed in killing off this measure ?
However John Prescott did sign the "Council of Europe Convention on the prevention of terrorism"
So it looks as if even more repressive "anti-terrorism" laws are part of the NuLabour agenda, but, shamefully, extending a few meagre rights to the women and children who are victims of the sex slave trade here in the United Kingdom is not a priority for them.
