Action on Rights for Children are publicizing a peaceful protest of families awith children, against the awful Big Nanny database provisions of the Children Bill, and against schemes like Ryogens etc., outside a Government IT conference on 11th May, from 11.30 am to 2pm, outside the Millenium Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London.

**We are organising a peaceful demonstration outside the hotel on Tuesday,
May 11th from 11.30-2pm.**
At ARCH, we believe that this event provides the perfect opportunity for
families to tell the Government and the media what they think of the database
proposed in the Children Bill. The Bill will still be in the House of Lords at
that stage, and will be close to moving into the House of Commons.
Please come if you can, and bring your banners - the more the merrier! If the
turn-out is poor, the Government may use it to say that families are
This proposal is not an 'ARCH' event - it is for all concerned people and
groups. Children are welcome.
We will work hard to get the most extensive media coverage we can. Far too
many people - including the 'professionals' who will be ordered to share
information - remain totally unaware of just what the Children Bill contains. So
let's seize this chance to tell them!
We need to know how many people we can expect to take part. If you can
organise a regional group to attend so much the better. It would help us a lot if
