We are naturally curious about various high tech transport , telecommunications and surveillance infrastructures
which are appearing on the streets of London.
We are probably as qualified as anyone to discuss the implications for our society of this street tech.
Do the promised benefits outweigh the potential threats ? Can these infrastructures be explored or played with ?

- QuikTrak - is this really "The world's most secure technology for tracking, monitoring and messaging" ? Are the back end "secure website" and cutomer vetting procedures adequate to prevent it being used to by evildoers to track children and vulnerable people ?
- Zingo black cab taxi hailing via mobile phone, using Cell Location Based Services.
- Park-Mobile mobile phone parking payment scheme in Putney, using Park-Line technolgy from the Netherlands. This involves the use of GSM SMS messages, an internet website (wow, they use SSL/TLS by default !) and RFID transponder cards checked by traffic wardens.
