Apparently the DWP FOI Focus Centre tried unsuccessfully to email a response to our Q1 and Q2 2006 List of Uses - DWP Longitudinal Study - FOIA request
After another failed attempt today, another DWP official, in the department which deals with FOI internal reviews (which we had requested into the handling of the request) managed to forward the email ok.
Perhaps they have a problem with their X400 email gateway to the .gsi.gov.uk Government Secure Intranet gateway to the Internet.

Perhaps there was a problem with the X400 to Internet email gateway which prevented this response (and the attached documents ) from being sent successfully.
This email is in response to your request for information relating to the Work and Pensions Longitudinal Study.1) I attach as requested a list of the applications to access the Work and Pensions Longitudinal Study for quarters ending March and June 2006 along with a list of expired cases that have been removed from the current list to make it more manageable.
The DWP website has recently been redeveloped and some of the links that you mention are no longer available. The documents entitled "Work and Pensions Longitudinal Study - List of Uses" and " Work and Pensions Longitudinal Study - Safeguards" dated October 2005, are both available on the DWP Website. The documents are being updated to reflect the new web link address, but the content remains current and valid.
2) The correct telephone contact for queries relating to the WPLS is:
0114 209 8208
The web site is currently being updated to reflect the new contact details.
I hope that this sufficiently answers your request.
