Denis Snowdon on air at AM740 with "A Little Breath of Scotland"

At the "Oor Club" on Friday, March 6th we were delighted to have radio broadcaster Denis Snowdon as our guest speaker. You can listen to his talk here:

Denis is the producer and host of "A Little Breath of Scotland," Canada's longest radio show which first aired on October 21, 1965 on CHWO Radio in Oakville. For more than 25 years the show was heard on Saturdays from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., before moving to Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. when CHWO 1250 became AM740 in 2001.

The August 9th, 2015 show was his last on AM740 as Denis did not accept the direction the station management wanted to take the show, and he informed them he would no longer be producer/host of A Little Breath of Scotland.

As a result of the feedback from loyal listeners to the show, Denis decided to bring back the show as a podcast, with the very first edition which aired on November 1, 2015, commemorating the completion of fifty years of broadcasting the show. It continues to be available as a weekly podcast.
